Hey guys ! I am Meg one of Amanda's actors I also do a lot of girl guiding work and I am currently a young leader at my own unit. I am thinking of raising some money for 'Greyhound gap' whilst completing the badge - Animal Active. So was just wondering does anyone have any ideas on what sort of fund raising I could do? I am thinking of a Tombola... Any other suggestions would be great Thanks !

Hiya Meg am so sorry I missed this have been really busy. Tombola's are great, raffles usually go well also and also mini auctions if you secure donated items and then give people the chance to bid. You can also have silent auctions where people email you the amount they are willing to pay for an item and then the highest bidder wins it. Thank you so very much for thinking of us and good luck if you need anymore help just shout!

Hi Tess tombola is a good idea, my friend does a tombola stall for a greyhound rescue charity and makes quite a lot of money. She gets lots of people give her stuff, toiletries, bottles and unwanted presents, then she puts tickets on them all and charges £1.00 for five tickets and because its a sort of instant win it is very popular, children like it especially, so lots of cuddly toys look good on the table! Good luck, and hope you make lots of money, also it is good fun, talking to lots of different people and for a good cause, beautiful Greyhounds. Kim
