Stanley Village Hall, near Ilkeston on 30th July. Volunteers needed please to help setup, tidy up, help me handle dogs, man the stall etc. Due to the fact that there will be members of the public there and potentially (hopefully) a few dogs in the hall I think we should limit the dogs we bring to one or two to sit behind the stall. There will be nervous owners and dogs there so will need the dogs we bring to be good with other breeds of all shapes and sizes and to be calm and quiet in the environment. Some of the dogs attending may not be good with other dogs or will be very stressed and the last thing I want is to heighten the tension by having anxious dogs there or dogs who will bark excessively. I'm not bringing a dog as there won't be room in the car but if you feel your dog will be OK please say on this thread If this day is successful it could open up a whole new medium for us to spread the word of Gap to a wider range of people as well as promoting responsible dog ownership in the community and hopefully will raise much needed pennies ETA Thanks to Cath who is designing some posters for this and will also be making a few extra collars to sell

Can I have a few posters for this when they're done please? The kennels where I work is very close and I can start to put the word about with my customers. I'm sure some of them will take posters to put up at their work place etc. Count me in for the day too Helen x
