I've been going through my files and came across these. They are really for School events but many could be used for Hound events or be adapted. So, will copy them here incase they come of any use for events being held . However, if they've all been done before then no worries.

Get the police/fire brigade to turn up with a vehicle - provides a point of interest
Professional bouncy castles - get them to give you a donation but let them keep the takings its a legal nightmare manning one yourself
Craft people like people who sell cards and home made jewellery to pay £10 each to have a stall on the day... - helps with the cash before the event too
Lucky straws are loads of straws some shorter than others or some with a little mark on them buried in the sand. If you get one of the marked lucky ones you get a prize. We keep it simple one mark and you choose your prize but you could colour code them for different grades of prizes.
You just keep putting the straws back in the sand if you want.

Fake tattos - rubbed on with water
Nail painting - nail varnish
Frog in a bog - make frog bean bags (really simple if you google you'll find a pattern. You either use a real toilet or make one up
using a toilet seat and people have to throw them in.
Crockery Smash - people donate their old china/go to car boots at the end and ask for donations too. Also ask on freecycle. Stack all
the crockery up with something at the back so the bits dont
fly everywhere and people pay to break the plates, bowls
cups etc.
Coconut shy
Stocks - throw a wet sponge /rotton fruit/veg at the teacher
Photo Board - Get someone arty to draw a pic on a piece of hard board, leaving holes for faces and take photos of people. Like the old fashioned lifeguard carrying a woman etc (or a comical Greyhound pic)
Cream teas or strawberries and cream -alternative to bbq for mums and grandparents who would rather not have burgers etc
Human fruit machine
Hook a duck
Match the babies with teachers - pop up on a board teachers baby photos
Hoopla stall- wooden rings and wooden blocks with prizes on
Kids craft stall- i.e. paint their own t shirts - you can buy them from Tescos for approx £1 each. Charge £4 a tshirt
Have potato/sponge prints/old bike wheels for a tyre track to go across shirt/pens etc.
Ask local dance/gym/clubs groups to give a demonstration (some will do for free) such as Karate demos, line dancing, theatre groups, majorettes.
Organise a tug of war
Wine or Water - have some full wine bottles and some with water in. Cover the top with plastic cups. People pay to choose a bottle and then they could either win wine or water You can try this with fizzy drinks and coloured water for the kids too.
Hook a bag - Have small brown bags with goodies in and bamboo poles with hooks on end. Whatever bag they hook they win the prize. Only one prize per person.
Sweetie Tombola - pop sweets into jars and do as normal tombola
Teddy tombola - ask for unwanted soft toys. Put name tags on them all and put the names into a box. Whatever name the child pulls out that is the toy they win. Put the soft toys on the table in alphabetical order so its easier to find them.

Balloon race
Skittles - Used old plastic drinks bottles decorated and with numbers on (relevant scores). Pop a bit of water or sand in the bottles to make them stand up. At the end of the fayre person with highest score wins a prize.
Frisbee - Draw with chalk on the playground circles with scorees on and do the same as above.
Sell icecreams/ices - Just buy them from the supermarket. Will always doubled your money at least.
Punch balloons - Buy them from the pound shop (for 10) or ebay. Then put a spoon of rice into each balloon, blow up and sell for about 50p each. The kids love selling these balloons...send kids around the fayre demonstrating and selling them. (pop a poster on their backs with the price).
Higher and lower game - Like bruce forsyth card game on tv. Google if not sure
Pack of cards - Have two sets of cards. One set you lay on the table face up with a prize on ...i.e. lollys, cars etc and hold the other set in your hand. Get people to cut the card/ or choose a card face down from your hand and they win whatever is on that card on the table.
Plant stall - Get people to make up herb gardens..hanging flowering baskets...hanging salad baskets, strawberry pots etc
Sell kits - have a look on the crafty options you could make up and then sell on. i.e. decorate a bag (make or buy bags and supply with ribbons/buttons/sequins etc) - sew a sock monster or monkey (supply everything you need in bag) - Sew a valentines heart etc etc.
Which key opens the door - mini door with keyhole in and bag of odd keys. People pull out one and if you choose correct one you win prize.
Splat the rat - Piping and a stuffed toy rat, rounders bat. Someone lets the rat go at the top of the pipe and you try to whack the rat as it appears at the bottom.
