Megan ran off after being clipped by a car outside her home and has not been seen since. The area is very rural and she may be holed up somewhere, possibly injured. Please circulate to anyone in the area who can help. Searchers and posterers in the area needed please! And if anyone has a useful dog who can help in the search please make contact. www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=24683&status=Lost

Took Wispa up there today, got a trail but didn't find Megan. We reckon she is hiding in Little Stretton or the adjacent part of Church Stretton, west of the railway. Lots of hedges and bushes and also gardens which a dog could get into, with sheds, decking, logpiles etc and mature shrubs. All houses have been notified by post lady, bless her.

Just to clarify this is Church Stretton/Little Stretton, Shropshire, and not Little Stretton, Leicestershire. Megan's Doglost poster for anyone in the area. www.doglost.co.uk/poster.php?dogId=24683Hurry home Megan, your owners need to know you are OK sweetheart. This girl is so like my Alphie. Jackie x

Her people are lovely, I felt so sad that we couldn't find her. They are elderly and are limited in the amount of tramping about they can do. I'm certain she is not far away, but there are so many hidey holes. As I explain on her DL page, she was clipped by the 3rd of 3 carloads of rowdy young people which came roaring up a quiet single track cul de sac well after 11 pm. The youngsters all got out and ran after her shouting which is why she took off so fast Everyone knows about her and if she comes out of cover she will be recognised. It's awful when you know they aren't far away and you just can't find them. Wispa is really sad and quiet today, she hates it when she doesn't track down her quarry.

If she has survived her injuries, which we are assuming she has, and is able to run, she will be able to fend for herself as she is an expert rabbiter. She is a rescue but may have been worked at some time previously in her life. Trouble is that if she is hunting she may well be asleep during the day and around after dusk or very early in the morning when she is less likely to be sighted.

There was a credible sighting about a week ago, about 20 miles due west of Church Stretton. She (or a lookalike) crossed the path in front of a couple of people at 6.30 a.m. There was no one else about. 20 miles is an easy distance for her to cover in 5 weeks, rabbiting along the way.
