Hattie came home with us last night just in time to watch Eurovision on TV!!...understandably she has been a bit unsettled by the changes in her life and it will take time for her to settle in....even so we have seen an improvement in the short time she has been with us.... She had a good night.....she was a very good girl and slept soundly and quietly until our normal getting up time around 7.30 on a weekend. She has been out for two walks today and has been up to the stables to meet the horses! She has been very well behaved in almost all respects....however, she is wary of us at the moment, which makes putting her on the lead problematical so she will have to stay on lead until we gain her trust...hopefully this will not take long... At the moment, Sue, Bella & Hattie are taking an afternoon nap on the bed (well it is a miserable day!!) so I am taking the chance to write this! Here is a pic of Hattie & Bella this morning....see if you can tell who is who!! Thank you Maggie for the kind words in the re-homing thread...we will do our best to make sure Hattie has a good home....interestingly we happened to meet a good friend of ours today who is one of the top dog behaviorists in the country...she loved Hattie and said she had a good "aura" and looks as if she will be very biddable!!

Update
Hattie is settling in really well....she has relaxed and mellowed fantastically over the past few days and appears to be enjoying life!
Her tail was literally between her legs for the first day or so.....now it is right up in the air most of the time....
She is due to start classes on Monday evenings and will be training for the Good Citizens Bronze Award...due to her good grounding in her foster home, she can skip the puppy class apparently!!

Excellent, glad she's doing well. Her brother Fluke is here at the moment for a week's holiday! We also met Mavis (was Tallis), another of the litter last week, they are all lovely pups.

Ooh how lovely a Hattie fix. Big hugs to them both ........just remind Bella that she will grow up eventually. And gosh they do look similar - though Bella looks like she has dipped her foot in a paint tin So pleased to hear Hattie's happy You are doing such a good job with her and I'm looking forward to congratulating you on achieving bronze standard soon. Do keep us updated on her antics in class and good luck. Sometimes I think it's harder for us humans to remember to get everything right. ps I have to run around the garden playing with Archie again now! Have a good weekend.

Another couple of pics of Hattie, one relaxing in the sun at the stables and the other in our garden...... Had to change collar as she managed to roll in something smelly and got her posh one covered in it!!

Hattie's 1st Swim. Took Hattie & Bella down to the sailing club yesterday for a swim...Hattie was reluctant to get her feet wet at first...probably wondered what all that wet stuff was!! After a while watching Bella paddle and swim, Hattie summed up courage and took the plunge...however, she never went far from Bella and spend most of the time "piggybacking" Bella when out of her depth! Poor Bella! Apologies for poor quality of photos...taken with mobile phone! Hattie & Bella paddling (Hattie has red collar) Swimming (or Piggybacking!!)

Should add that Hattie went to her first training class last night....she was a little star....sit, down, recall, heel work...all no problem! Not fazed by the other dogs....She is going to be a star..

Here is a pic of Hattie taken today....as you can see, she is very relaxed and has made herself at home! She is doing very well and is now confident in almost all situations (but still a bit wary of strange men)
