I can do part of this Lisa. If someone can take over from Nottingham Trowell services J25-26 M1 I'm willing to go down to Coventry and pick him up. Or if someone can pick up at Coventry and bring him up to Leicester then I could go up to Woodall services J30-31 M1, if there's anybody can take him on to Halifax. Friday or Saturday is OK for me. Right Jackie so you could collect and get to Nottingham and Vicky you are fine with Nottingham to Huddersfield??
If so will just get the last bit sorted then put you in touch. Is this Friday as it would probably be safer he is out than risking the next day?
Jackie what time are you thinking so I can try to tie the Huddersfield end in depending on when Vicky would get there?

What's the earliest he can be collected Lisa? Traffic builds up around the M1/M69 junction in the rush hour, but I can make an early start if needs be. On the other hand if it's not vital to be there for the crack of dawn then maybe aiming for around 10:00am would make more sense. Depending on that, and whereabout he is exactly I would imagine I could be at Trowell services within an hour, or hour and half allowing for traffic.
If Vicky is talking about going as far as Woolley Edge services J38-39 that would probably take another hour or so (there's major roadworks on the M1 from South Notts northwards due to road widening, but the traffic does tend to keep moving at about 50mph if you're lucky)
I can do Friday, not a problem, and possibly better than Saturday to be honest.

if it could be shortened either way as I'm having pain if I drive too far, motorway's ok if it keeps moving traffic's the prob but who can predict that arthritis just having a flare up in most bits

Can help in the middle (only just got in from work (ring me on my mobile if you need me as out part of tomorrow having hair done) Marie would you be able to do Trowell services J25-26 to Wolley Edge services J38-39? It's about 55 miles, but does involve the stretch where they are widening the road. That would just leave the last 25 miles or so to Halifax still outstanding. If this is possible are you flexible on time? I don't know yet what time I should be picking up from Coventry, but hopefully if I can get him fairly early I could be up around Notts by mid-morning, say 11:00 ish at the latest. Jackie x

If Marie could do Trowell to Woodall or to J1 M18 ( there's a McD at top of slip rd (think its J1, with A630) I can easily do to Woolley Edge then if traffic is bad on that stretch no one's going to be too long. Are we ok for someone to from Woolley to Kayes? I can do anytime
I can see traffic being very heavy as schools break up and a lot round here finish today and fri's a busy day anyway so would prob be better for Marie and I to split it. If Marie came to M18 which is 5mins from me I could go past Woolley if there's a place to meet up, can't see any suitable services on map if that helps at Kayes end.

What sort of time are we talking about up our end? I've got a couple of volunteers but it depends on the timing.

Kaye, Can they get to Woolley edge? I would reckon from what Jackies saying about 12.30 latest there, prob earlier that's allowing for it being busy. Is that any good?
