Hi,
Just joined the forum. We have 2 wonderful retired greyhounds Rosie and Abi. Sorry to be brief for now but I'm after some possibly urgent info please....
one of our girls over-exerted herself today whilst off the lead, came back totally exhausted, is a pin cushion of thorns, has many cut and grazes, but what is worrying us is that on the slow walk home, every time she stopped to do a pee it was rather bloody.
Does anyone know why that might be ? She has recently finished her season but as far as we can tell, any bleeding in relation to that has stopped.
Very grateful for anyone's help or advice please. Thank you !

Hopefully it's just an infection, so get her checked out by your vet as soon as possible. Good luck.

Thanks for your comment. It was suggested by a friend that there might be something on this forum about it being connected to over exertion and muscles, but I haven't found anything yet. She hasn't peed anymore since we've been home. I thought that maybe if it was an infection the frequent peeing might continue. Poor luv she is exhausted, whines with every move. She's a pin cushion of thorns too, heaven knows what she got up to in the forest.
