So glad you posted this as I had a similar experience with Max last week. He usually just runs in circles but this time must have put up a fox. I heard the truck toot- heart in mouth time and kicking myself. So back to short runs in safe area and a rather plump lurcher.

Linda please don't keep beating yourself up over this, as Wanda, Helen and others have already said it can happen to anyone, and has. We have all had those heartstopping moments when we stand helpless and wish we could turn the clock back a couple of minutes. (It's even worse when, going against the rules, you let a foster dog off for a quick leg stretch and the little s*d does a runner. I have experienced that blind panic when you think "How the hell am I going to tell Lisa I've lost one of her dogs". (Sssshhhh don't anyone tell her for God's sake) I will be keeping you in my thoughts today, and hoping that uncle Con is wrong for once and madam Tia hasn't in fact broken her leg. If you need anything, or just want to talk you know where I am. Jackie x
