Having looked after Emma briefly last year and now that Connor's on the straight and narrow again me and OH are interested in investigating the possibility of fostering some more for Lurcher Link or Gap, if you'll have us. I've spoken to Lurcherlass but have not wanted to call Lisa during the pup and now Duke situation. If I could have a chat with someone else that would be fab, if only to arrange a homecheck etc.

Marcia already having one of our dogs as a foster in an emergency situation and having met yourself and reading regularly about Connor I dont think a homecheck would be a worry.
When ive had a few days to get through these saga's I will give you a ring and we can assertain what sort of dog would be best for you and Connor

OK. We were homechecked and approved as fosters by Burnley Dog Rescue (hence Connor) but obviously they're not sighthound specific so wanted to check! Just give us a call whenever - PM me if you need my number.

Connor says "do they have any Yorkshire Terriers" ? I think he may be suffering from delusions that he is a terrier on stilts this week

WE would love to be a foster family, however we have a baby of six months so this will probably mean we fall outside your criteria for the time being. However we do have ten acres here at the farm an an internal stable block which I could put come kennels in if thats any use? Otherwise we will just wait until Drew is over four by that point he will be well socialised with dogs - already having four! and I will continue to look longingly at your website as I have been doing for the last twelve months.

Hiya Indoor stable block isolation would be fabulous. The risk with a young child such as yours and the reason we have the policies is because of the whole fact we specialise in death row rescue and rehabilitation. As the dogs are strays we have no history and we can never guarantee their behaviour around not only young children BUT other animals. If you think emergency stabling facilities would be available please do give me a call for a chat

Hi Lisa,
I will chat to my partner this as we would need to convert an extra area, all stables being full at the moment but I dont see this being a problem, I am not far from you however being in Biddulph Park so perhaps we could get together sometime and you could let me know what would be suitable, how big the areas should be etc. I am sure I could sort soemthing out for you and if nothign else at least I can provide emergency care whilst in house foster homes are found.
Regards. Emma. Ps. Whats your number?

hello, my name is Jennifer and I was wondering if I could help in anyway, I would be willing to foster and also if there was any need for volunteering to either take dogs for walks or any kind of general help.
I live in Halstead, Essex and I have no other animals of any kind. I do work full time, however my flat mate only works part time.
The last dog I had a German Shepherd and I adopted her through the German Shepherd rescue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada - where I am from. She had been crated all of her life in a puppy mill when the rescue found her. When she came to my house it did take a while for her to show her true self which was so loving and gentle as she had never been handled before in the correct way. unfortunately she became extremely possessive over me and started to bare her teeth to anyone in the household. I wanted her to stay with us but my husband was more hesitant so I enrolled in an obedience school for about 6 months. I thought she was doing very well until one of my sons friends came over and he was wearing a cap on his head and something maybe triggered her mind but she lunged for him and bit his arm. I struggled to get her off but the damage was done and my husband told me to give her up. I took her back to the rescue center and was devastated and within a few days a new owner had come and fell in love with her and the good news was that he lived on a huge acre farm house and she had freedom to explore and also the new owner had no children. so I was happy after that.
Needless to say that I now live in the U.K. and would love to help in anyway I can. My children live in Canada, however my flat mate has two girls aged 13 and 15 and they come only every second weekend. Their Mother has a dog but it never comes here.
Well anyway thats it for now
so take care and maybe you might need me to help
thanks, Jennifer
