Please, if there's anyone within spitting distance of West Yorkshire who can offer a foster home for a Lurcher, DO get in touch as we desperately need help atm.

I have finally convinced hubby that the only thing I need for Christmas is to be able to help out with the ever growing need for fosterers over this time and he has finally caved in and said yes.
So - my circumstances are as follows.
I am 41yrs old, have had a multiple dog household for almost 20yrs. I have fostered and home checked before for WAW, HWAR and IRR so am well aware of what I am letting myself in for. I have two secure gardens one with 7ft fence and one with 4ft fence and 2ft trellis. I have four dogs, 2 male, 2 female ageing from 3yrs to 9yrs (all neutered), my dogs are never let out of the secure gardens without being onlead and accompanied by me or a member of my household. In the household is myself and my husband who is also an experienced dog owner and when she returns my retired mum lives with us but is an active 63yr old(don't tell her I told you her age )
In a couple of days I finish for Christmas and the New Year and then go back part time for a few days before starting my new job mid January.
I don't know why but at this time of year the oldies seem to tug on my heartstrings that little bit harder than the younger ones as nobody seems to want the older dog so I thought maybe the oldies club or a rescue with an older dog could make use of me. I have no experience particularly with pointies but if I can help.
The only stipulations I have to make are that 1 - the dog MUST be FEMALE 2 - it must be small and large dog friendly and not too large or strong (maybe a laid back greyhound) 3 - not a JRT, full staffy or yorkshire terriers please due to harvey's bad experiences
If I can help, please PM me and I'll ring you
I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire
There are pictures of my dogs on the Greyhounds need homes thread in the APPEALS section of this board ;D
