I received a phone call from a lady a few days ago who adopted a greyhound bitch 4 yrs black from a trainer around 6mnths ago. The trainer stated that if there were any problems he would take the dog back. The lady at the moment is under severe pressure her marriage has broken down and is very depressed and her ex is putting immense pressure on. Due to financial difficulties she was struggling to maintain her two dogs! One is now with her parents but the greyhound is struggling to settle as an only dog and obviously the lady doesnt feel well enough in herself to handle it. She also has two young children and is feeling totally worn. The trainer has refused to take the dog back and advised the lady to pts her, and the best offer of a rescue place she has had is if she parts with £100 to hand her over she really cannot afford this. Sian can take the dog from Saturday onwards in South Wales once Eric heads off to his forever home but in the meantime I would like if we could to find her somewhere else to be till then. She is a little Princess and use to a home but cat status is not known.
If anyone can help with this it is quite desperate, we need to keep her around the area she is now because of getting her back to Sian.

Lisa - we haven't fostered before and I don't really know the procedure re homechecks etc, but I'm sure we could manage her until the weekend so long as she is OK with other dogs/children, if that would help,
I will PM you with my contact details for this afternoon.

Phew! Probably just as well, ours is a bit of a madhouse atm. Still you know where I am if it all goes pear-shaped for any reason.
