Joe came to us at the end of may, after having a few weeks stay at Lisa's. When he first came to her house, he was put in the kennel/run to give him time to chill out as the poor lad was terrified After 2 weeks there, Lisa decided it was time for him to move on and learn to trust other people, as he had really started to gain confidence with her. We fetched him home, and put him a bed in the corner of the room. I had to carry him into the house as he was very nervous and wouldn't walk in, he laid down in front of the sofa for a while and then went in his corner. The following day, he decided the sofa looked rather comfy and hasn't really laid anywhere else since
After being here for a month, I decided he had to stay, he is the most beautiful dog and has settled a lot quicker than I thought he would. He's bonded really well with my other 3 and is so much more playful and cheeky now. I'm greeted in a morning with a huge black frog who bounces around the room and launches himself at me with his paws on my shoulders
He now happily takes treats from all my dog walking friends who he was so wary of at first. The way to his heart is definitely through him stomach.
Thanks to Lisa for sending him here for "fostering"
Who couldn't help but fail with him, he's gorgeous ;D
Joe on his first night with us, trying to pluck up courage and make friends with his new dad ;D
Learning how to beg for biscuits, didn't take him long!
Laying with Willow on the garden ;D
And finally, at the front of the queue looking for more treats
