This is Echo, who had just 10 weeks of happiness and comfort after being rescued from horrible conditions, thin and with a badly smashed front leg which had been left untreated. She dropped dead after a run with her friends, and died in my arms PAID

BRAN 'I rescued Bran in 2001 from Last Chance Animal Rescue. He'd been a stray in Wales and when I got him he was in a real state - very skinny, kennel cough and his fur was just falling out in clumps. After some tlc though, he soon became this gorgeous boy in the photo. We had to have him put to sleep in May last year, and not a day goes by that I don't think about him and miss him - he was an amazing boy.' posted on behalf of Lorraine Crowther PAID

I picked up an ancient, badger-battered black hound from the pound for Lurcher Link and called him Hector on the was home because he was noble - he was only with me for six months before I lost him but I loved him and he loved me - I'll never forget him… A failed fosterer, darling Jim was with me for two years - a true gentleman… PAID
