Now I have 3 loves in my life...... Lewis my husband and gardening!!! (In that order but don't tell the hubby) The garden looks all the better for having a hound in it!
Lewis helped me whilst I was doing some weeding the other day.. while I was kneeling and busy in the sunshine he kept liking my face to cool me down! Then I was tying up some plants and he very carefully picked up the ball of sting and ran off with it going twice around the a tree. I followed the trail and found him grinning from ear to ear !
He is showing his confidence more and more each day. Still a little wary of people but getting used to the noise of traffic. We have started training classes. It was a little scary at first but Lewis managed to do some sits and Lie down a few times. he really wanted to play with the other dogs so got a little distracted from time to time. The leader of the group said he did really well for the first time and thought Lewis handled it really well. We have been practicing and I am now trying to get him to sit , Lie down and stay........ the stay is going to take a little longer I think.
I cant believe we have only had him 10 days... We are going to try a trip to the beach tomorrow.
Thank you for your kind comments. It is lovely to know you are out there and interested in his progress.
I will give you another installment soon X

To be fair, Jet does down when told. It took a lot of work though and many hours with him giving me his 'what the eff are you on about' look

Lovely pics. 3 hour walk! If I told Layla we were going to do that she'd probably go into a self induced coma How is your lawn surviving with all his energy. Mine has crop circles from the pee and missing divots due to zoomies

Yep... mine too but its only grass . Lewis doesn't appear to want to pee outside of the garden. Even when we are out for long walks he goes straight out to the garden on our return and does a wee or poo? This is a new to me as my other dogs wanted to scent mark every few yards on our walks. He does plenty of sniffing and he did do a poo when we were at the beach after a real gallop. Someone has told me to get some of his wee on a cloth and mark some suitable places away from the house and that may encourage him , but I haven't had a chance to do it yet.
It doesn't seem to bother him at all so i'll just monitor things for now.
