Sammy is being returned to us as his owners don't feel confident with him around their new baby. He is a black male greyhound and is 7 years of age. He is great with other dogs ie greyhounds and medium sized but is typical greyhound in that cats and small fluffy dogs peak his interest. He really is the most beautiful boy and at 7 years of age could end up languishing in kennels for a while and we would hate this to happen. He will be fine with children 6 upwards who are dog savy.

Oh no! Sammy is the most beautiful boy. I had him here on foster for 10 days back in 2011 before he went to his home and he really is the most lovely boy. He is a big boy, but he is so laid back around the house that I hardly knew I had him. I wish so much that I could have him here, but with Dom still here I couldn't manage another. I will look through my pictures from his time with us so everyone can be reminded how lovely he is.

Sarah thanks but I really would not want to risk Solo with another male xx No worries - whatever you think is best. Space remains available for a girlie when you need one then! x

Lisa, would he and Cas get on do you think? She's such a lovely, sharing girl as you know. It didn't take her long to realise Jimmy isn't a cuddly, play, play, play sort of guy and now asks nicely if he wans to play. Jimmy would be fine so long as he was left alone to do his own thing. I think the back of my Outlander would be big enough for 3 ?

Sammy has been our much loved dog for 2 years now, and we are absolutely devastated about needing to rehome him. He is the most wonderful dog. He is so loving and easy going and happy. The perfect dog really, and he has made us smile for 2 years. His only downside is his high prey drive. This is normally easy to manage (we keep him on lead and muzzled). However, our little newborn baby is unfortunately triggering his prey instinct too, and we just can't risk an accident. Many tears have been shed about this very difficult decision, and I wish there was another way, but we don't see another solution where everyone is safe and happy. Here is the beautiful boy: Sammy looks and sounds so wonderful. I love the first Model Shot of him.
