Not exactly a technical problem with the forum but not sure where to put this. I badly need to update little Dom's thread with new pictures but have now been trying on and off for about a month on and off and just can't do it. For some inexplicable reason I can no longer get anything to upload on Photobucket. It tries and you can see the timer whirring round, but nothing happens at all and it stays at 0%. Someone suggested to open in Google Chrome and someone else suggested Flikr a while back. I tried both but didn't really understand what to do. I just don't know what to try any more.
I am wondering if there could be a problem with the computer as I tried to email an attachment to someone a while back to and that wouldn't attach either. Is there anyone out there with any technical know-how with any ideas about what could be going on? I really don't want to go to the expense of getting an engineer in at the moment if there's a chance of getting it to work without - the last time the bill ran to several hundred pounds!
Have you got a flickr account sorted? If so can you upload a picture to it? If you don't know how I can talk you through using flickr no problem.
Some email programs put a limit on the size of file you can send- now cameras have more megapixels the files get very big so sometimes you have to make them smaller before you send the email. Can you tell me what type of file you couldn't get to attach and what email program you are using. You can do that by om if you'd rather (and can you let me have your postal addy as well- your collars are waiting to be posted)
This has happened to me before and I needed to make the pictures smaller. Cath is right about some cameras producing quite large pictures nowadays which need to be resized before you can download anywhere.

Thanks for the replies. I'm confused about the size though. I am not doing anything differently with Photobucket than I've done before and size has never been a problem. Camera is the same one too. I tried to set up a Flikr account but didn't have much luck with it. I'll have to go back and have another look at Flikr again. To be honest I am ready to throw the computer out of the window now though! By email program do you mean BT Yahoo? The other document that wouldn't attach was just a Word doc.
Brill that the collars are ready. Hopefully I will be at the show with the boys if someone here can look after Madam Frankie. Think I read somewhere that you would be at the show Cath so do you want to save on postage and give them to me there?
No problem Sophie. I'll bring the collars with me.
So you are using yahoo to send your emails? They limit the size of attachments to 10MB. A text based word doc would usually be much smaller than that, unless you have a lot of images on it. Have you tried sending a small word doc as a test? There might not be a problem now - yahoo could have been playing up that day- it does happen.
I don't use photobucket but I know that some people have had problems recently as they have changed a few things.
If you can get your email to send a file you could email the pics to me and I'll add them to the thread for you- but check you can send an attachment first

missfleur2003: Hello. I am new to this site and noticed that the posts for available dogs seem to be quite old. Some seem to be years old. Are the dogs shown still available.

peggy: Also a brand new greyhound owner, I love her already. It's hard to believe she is 4 years old, I have to keep reminding myself she was in a kennel and not a home. She is a beaut, but goes skits around food, I suppose it was the excieting time of day x
