This is booked! Whitby Bandstand, 10am - 4pm, Sunday 28th April. It is Spring Goth Weekend in Whitby which will attract a huge crowd, not just of Goths and Dracula fans but others who come to see their fantastic outfits! They have a dog walk on this day, meeting at the bandstand at noon, so I'm hoping we will therefore be well placed to capture a dog-loving crowd. Last time we did Whitby someone mentioned that tombolas go down well there. We have permission to hold one so if we can all start collecting decent prizes we could give this a go. We'll have the shelter of the bandstand for ourselves and the prizes so this might be as good a time as any to try it! Please let me know if you can take part in this, and if so what hours you can cover. The train station is also nearby but limited service on Sundays) www.whitbygothweekend.co.ukwww.facebook.com/pages/Whitby-Goth-Weekend-Dog-Walks/10150095262815504?fref=ts

I will pop down fore most of the day if you would like will start collecting tombolas prizes, what sort of stuff do you want. Not sure how many hounds I'll have with me as Eddie struggles to stand for long but might get oh to swop them over, that sounds like I have loads but I only have 2

For the tombola - bottles of wine / spirits, nice toiletries, chocolates, toys, jewellery ... anything you think might entice folks to part with their cash in return for a ticket!

This might be tricky for me as I'll be in full-blown collar making mode with it being the week before the show

I'll have to do collars Sarah as I'm miles behind with knackering my back.
Any of the North Yorkshire crowd can come and help Sarah and Vanessa please? Sarah tries so hard to help GAP but needs other people to help her

Just giving this a bump up as it is a week on Sunday! It'll be a good day. Thanks to Vanessa we've got a stall and a tombola drum, and have collected a good few prizes. Whitby will be bustling so it'd be great if there were a few of us to make sure we can chat to everyone and also run the tombola. Vanessa is bringing a hound but I can't so if anyone else with hounds could come along, even for an hour or so, the dogs always work wonders in attracting visitors over.

Chris By drop off point do you mean close parking if so dependant on what time you arrive you should get parked on what is known as khyber pass there is or was some free parking but this is limited, there is also some on the cliff top but again it'll be at a premium. Sorry just read this properly, you can drop off next to the bandstand area, watch out for the steam bus and open top bus as we are just there.

Chris If you have anything that would make a good raffle prize that would be good, but otherwise I'll be very happy with you just bringing yourselves and your hounds!

Hopefully the day will be warm and sunny but can I say bring sun cream if you or the hounds are sensitive to the sun as it can be a bit of a sun trap down there at times, Picked up the stall and ticket drum today thanks to my in laws and rotary club of whitby, it's not huge but does. Mean we are more prominent than in the and stand itself. With a little bit of shelter from the elements, if anyone is bringing tombola prizes can they let me know. Roughly how many as I'll make sure I bring extra tickets. Looking forward to putting faces to names
