Lily ...... a write-up from her owners.
Lily is a 4.5 year old female Collie / Lurcher type. She is looking for a new home because sadly she and the other bitch in her household no longer get on.
Lily has always lived with other dogs and so would suit a home with a steady male who will give her the space she needs. She has never lived with children but has experience of older children on walks. She does live with cats but can be a little timid of them. She has lived with hens and shows no interest in them.
Lily would suit someone who has an active lifestyle and who likes to walk. She makes a good jogging companion for those who like to run! She is currently left in the home with another male dog for up to four hours at a time so could live in a home where people work. She is not used to being left on her own.
Lily is a clever, pretty girl. She loves to play ball and could play fetch all day long. She also loves to play ‘find the ball’ where she can use her nose to sniff it out! She knows basic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘wait’ and ‘fetch’ and would easily pick up more. She is quiet in the home, only really making a noise when it is walk time! She travels well in the car.
She is affectionate when she gets to know you (if not a little licky!) and is responsive to her name. She can be timid and submissive when she meets new people.
Lily dislikes it when dogs invade her space. On walks she is interested only in her ball and will ignore anything else going on, but if other dogs get in her face she can get snappy. She has good recall and walks nicely on a harness.
Lily is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and in good health.
Lily lives with her current owners in Telford, Shropshire. Her current owners are very sad to be rehoming Lily but realise she is no longer happy living with their other bitch. They do hope that new owners keep them informed of Lily’s progress and should she not settle in they ask that she is returned to them.
