Wanted to show off some beautiful photos of Buddy and Nancy which were taken recently by my friend Annemarie King, a York wedding photographer who has won many awards for her ‘day job’.
We're so pleased with them; we had to narrow it down from over 200 so it was very difficult, especially since I'm not the most decisive person....
As she loves dogs, Annemarie has decided to expand her area of work at the same time raising money for Greyhound Gap, so she will be making beautiful portraits of man's best friend; especially greyhounds and lurchers.
Annemarie is the companion and friend of a greyhound named Patch and a miniature pinscher named Boo, and she is now offering dog photo shoots.
Instead of her usual session fee of £75 to £125 she is asking people to make a donation of £25 to Greyhound Gap. Obviously the cost of the photos is in addition to this, and the prints start from £12, with framed pictures from £85.
We really enjoyed the whole process of having the photos taken and then choosing them at the studio, and I am so pleased that Annemarie is choosing to raise money for Greyhound Gap in this way.
Annemarie’s contact details can be found at the bottom of the thread if anyone is interested. As well as a wedding photographer she is now a phodographer (get it?!) ;D

Way to go, Annemarie, that's top fund-raising for Gap and those pics are stunning. Thanks to a REALLY lovely friend who bought us a voucher for Christmas, our Marv, Mack, Dolly and Babe are about to get the Annemarie treatment - can't wait (although I'm not sure w'll be able to get all four standing together as calmly as Bud and Nancy...). Will try and post them up here when they are done. Jane x

peggy: Also a brand new greyhound owner, I love her already. It's hard to believe she is 4 years old, I have to keep reminding myself she was in a kennel and not a home. She is a beaut, but goes skits around food, I suppose it was the excieting time of day x
