Hi Everyone, Derbyshire Dales Council have been kind enough to grant us a street collection permit for our now customary annual Bakewell Christmas street collection The permit is for Saturday 8th December 2012, and the date coincides with antiques fairs and craft fairs that are being held in town on the same day, so hopefully it'll be nice and busy If past years are anything to go by we'll probably get frozen , drenched and then arrested , but on the plus side there may also be the opportunity to indecently assault a policeman (eh Moira? ;D ;D), so it promises to be a reet good day so please do pop along if you can! More details will be posted nearer the time Thanks all Jo x ETA: An earlier note from Frank, one of our fab volunteers (he who scrambles up cliffs for fun and Gap money ;D): Tracey (my wife) works in Cotswold Outdoor (next to the tourist information) there and they have a Greyhound Gap tin on the counter. If she's working that day, I'm sure she'll be willing to help out in providing tea etc. P.S. if you go there, drive over the bridge, turn right and go straight past the car park, a little further along the road is free all day parking. Its only a couple of minutes extra walk and will save you a fortune in Bakewell's overpriced parking. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone Shall we say 9.30-ish at the little crescent by the birdies and the bridge just outside Boots? That way I can ditch the stuff, park nearby until folks arrive and then move the car once we have a few to guard the buckets OMG Kay, if it's like last year ;D ;D ;D Jo x

Not sure if I can make this now , it will all depend on how quickley Flag responds to her meds as she needs walking regularly to get the swelling down in her leg. If she is much improved I will definitely be there, she did seem much better tonight but will know for definite tomorrow.
