We've been granted a permit for a plum date, bang in the middle of the Liverpool Beatles Festival weekend - Saturday 25th August It is guaranteed to be choc-a-block with people (locals and visitors to the city) so should be a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Gap The permit authorises a maximum of 10 collectors, so names of those able to help would be appreciated. The permit doesn't include Liverpool One, but we should do well on Church Street, a little nearer Mathew Street maybe I'll post more details nearer the date. Hounds in fancy dress could be a winner (Beatles wigs maybe ;D ;D ;D)

Right - plans for Saturday Shall we meet up at about 10am on Church St (outside Dorothy Perkins / Top Shop / M&S). We can suss out whether that's a good spot and move elsewhere if necessary / split up if numbers permit We aim to be there til 6 ish (weather and crowd / noise permitting : I've not had a minute to phone the car park to ask about discounted parking (things are a bit hectic here at the mo ), but I'll ask when I get there on Sat, as we pay on exit. These are the details of where we parked last time: Q-Park Car park Hanover Street Seel Street Merseyside Liverpool L1 4AF Parking costs there: £2.50 / hour £5.00 / 2 hours £7.00 / 3 hours £9.00 / 4 hours £10.00 / 10 hours It's about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the car park to Church St where we're collecting. You can look around at other car parks on parkopedia.co.uk We'll bring the usual: collection buckets, leaflets, Gap info sheets, water and bowl for the hounds, and a couple of dog beds. If others are coming with their dogs, please bring something for them to lie down on ;D ;D ;D Don't think we can bring a display board, as last time we were advised we'd need to have an additional permit. If poss, can I have a roll call of who's able to come - the permit authorises a maximum of 10 collectors. Thanks Look forward to seeing you all

Given the roll call so far of the North West's most wanted, it would be rude not to join in!! So the Welch pack of Polly, Jess, Polly, Frances and me will also be there. We'll be there as soon after 10am as we can make it but I doubt whether we will be there after mid afternoon especially if the weather goes bad. All the most genteel events always used to say "and in the Church Hall if wet" ... have you arranged us a church hall to retire to if necessary?
