Hiya Folks, I've spoken with Sheffield Council today and they have a spot on Fargate free on Saturday 15th December 2012! Naturally, I feel a bit of festive dressing-up coming on! ;D ;D ;D We'll have to get in quickly if we're to secure the spot: Would anyone be free to join us that day? Thanks all - I hope there's some help on hand! Jo x

I hear Lush is a good pitch. Well, therein lies a story! ;D Apparently Fargate is THE plum pitch and gets extremely booked up and I was told "you're lucky, madam, that you called today because that's the only Fargate date left in December" (already! ) so I said "Gimme thirty minutes and you'll have the application!" ;D ;D ;D There's no restriction on dogs, we can have up to ten collectors (but we can negotiate that up if we need to ) and I'm assuming that yes, we'll have the whole of Fargate (hence the mad scramble for dates) . If we get it and I come I'll be knackered because Manchester is the day before ;D ;D. Someone just sit me in Starbucks for the day will ya? ;D Jo x

I'm really trying to work the sums - problem is I can't work flat out till Dec. I'm trying to balance it with some leave left immediately before retirement - so hopefully I will be able to go before 19th Dec.If that doesn't work I'll try and request day off though coming up to Xmas is always a problem. After today I wish i was going tomorrow - I've really had enough now. Cath

I'm in NHS Finance - I see it all coming through the payroll, believe me! ;D ;D Jo x

Sorry Jo - I really wish that worked .In reality It doesn't - I've lost track of how much time I'm owed and don't get back.Occasionally when we have enough staff ( and I may be moved to another ward) I may get an extra "time owing" day off.I still remember being seconded to a specialist department I ended up on my own running that for 3 weeks.I week I ended up doing 90 hours and never got the time back.So- I can either conveniently have a major breakdown or my back/dodgy knee gets worse and I'm sick. What do you recommend?Taking into account that if I'm on an early -finish (in theory) 15.00.Due to public transport our ward clerk takes me home but she finishes at 15.30.I still get home a lot quicker but it now seems to be taken for granted that I'm there for there an extra 1/2 hour.Believe me - they rely on unpaid overtime etc and don't give a damn.
