I got a good look at him this morning, he was dancing merrily around the field waiting for me to serve breakfast. I had brought binos and can verify this is a male but couldn't see if entire or not. Looks like a lurcher, and his pawprints are too round for a greyhound. There is something heavier in his breeding. He spurned the trap last night to raid bins and make a mess. He has fortunately no interest at all in game. There were bunnies, hares and partridges in the field and he was not bothered.
Now that we know his gender, I thought of giving him a name but can't think of a suitable one that is printable.
Richard will be available mornings from Thursday onwards to help. I have a cunning plan but will keep it under my 'at and talk to Lisa about it later.

I think its Phebe and Margaret who will need the luck getting trap and dog in the car! Phebe has not heard the noises he is making yet I have ;D Lets just say he sounds like a dog that was not ready to come in yet and is letting his thoughts be known! It sounded like there is a terrier on crack in their not a lurcher from the noises I could hear. That will be two trapped lurchers in as many weeks in the kennels Rogue has only just started to forgive us! At this rate we will have a kennel full of dogs we dare not turn our back on. My poor kennel manager is being dragged out aswell and I am sure is very impressed. I think he is more worried for the first time ever as to where the hell we are going to put this dog than I am!

By the time I arrived at the scene (20 miles from my home) Margaret had sweet-talked him into settling down. I didn't hear a squeak out of him on the journey. I think he was rather enjoying being nice and warm for the first time in a while.
I am a bit the worse for wear and hope the girls will let me have a lie in tomorrow.
It's a good thing I don't have to go to Warsop every morning now. There is a place of sin and temptation called "Granny's Bakery", nuff said. If this hound hadn't been caught in time I would have ended up regaining all the weight I have lost since getting exercise addict Wispa.
