An update on the lovely Buddy - can't believe he has only been with us for a fortnight, it seems like much longer. He has settled in really well and there have been very few problems - the journey up wasn't great as he wasn't happy and was sick in the car, but he has gone from strength to strength since we arrived home, and he and Nancy are getting on well. He is very settled now and it has taken hardly any time for him to get into the routine. He has made a lot of friends in the park, and seems quite happy for Nancy to have a gallavant and for him to stay on the lead. He has met his new nanny and grandad and came round to them surprisingly quickly for such a shy dog (sausages in the pocket always help!) He has discovered that our bed is quite comfortable too, and a couple of mornings last week he jumped onto the bed at 5.45 am, and settled down - he is a cuddle monster. Needless to say this morning (Sunday) when I was quite happy to be woken up by a big black dog landing on me, he stayed in his own bed and had a lie in! We feel very lucky to have found Buddy and that he has settled in so easily. Can't wait for the better weather so we can have some longer walks and make more dog friends with him. Thank you to Lisa for pointing us in the direction of the right dog, Paul for doing our home visit so quickly and obviously giving us a good report, and to Helen for loving Buddy while she fostered him, and then letting him come to us. I was really impressed with Greyhound Gap and although I hope we won't need the ongoing support, feel confident is would be available if we did. Buddylicious

What a lovely update on the handsome Buddy, thank you. I walked Buddy a number of times at the kennels and to see him in his forever home is just wonderful! The photos are great, you should post them in 'Dog Talk' too. Bev

What a stunning pair of gorgeous dogs. I am not a fan of smoothies normally - but those two are exceptional.
