Here are their details, supplied by their owner .... Poppy: Saluki, 6yr old bitch, spayed and vaccinated. We have had poppy since she was 5 weeks old, from a rescue centre that has since closed. Poppy and her siblings were taken away from their mum, as she was not well. (Our vet says this is why she is underweight, we've tried to get some weight on her, but the vet says she is naturally skinny and very healthy.) Poppy  Sam: Lurcher, 5yr old. Sam is neutered and vaccinated. We have had sam since 10 weeks old. The dogs have grown up together and are inseperable, they are both lovely, energetic and friendly dogs, and are very much lap dogs and enjoy spending time cuddling with each other and us. Poppy likes to twirl around in her bed then be covered up with a blanket and Sam likes sleeping with no covers. When out on walks they like to be off the lead but only when in an secure field, where they can run and play. Are Poppy and Sam cat friendly?? And are they other dog friendly?? Will they be going back home or are we hoping to find a new forever home?? What lovely dogs.

Hi there,
Sam and Poppy are fine with other dogs, but have never been in contact with cats. They may be ok but not sure.
As for the homing situation, we would prefer temp homing but if loved as much as we love, would consider a forever home.
If anyone feels they can provide a lovely life for the pair, and keep us updated on their well being. Let us know and it will be considered.
Sam and Poppy are so lovely and loyal, with great character. Unfortunatly come the end of feb, we are going to suffer a housing problem and cannot take dogs with us. All we want is the best for them, as sad as it will be to let them go.

Sadly we have 2 cats and a lot of small furries that come and go during the spring and summer months, so not sure how they would cope plus a dog. Without knowing that they would be ok with them it would be a problem.  |

Luke only has until the end of February to find these two a home - I have therefore changed their thread to needing rehoming rather than a long term fosterer.

They remind me of a Bolt and Perdy lol from their characters. They are both so sweet looking, really hope someone can help them, a ready matched pair of hounds who have lived in a house already and characters known well would be wonderful for someone!   |

Hi,
Unfortunatly we dont know anyone with a cat/cats. They have a buddy that is a chalkie? same size as cat lol, and they are totally fine...
Not sure about the real deal of cat? Any chance of a test with ure cats? Where abouts do you live?

We live on the outskirts of Oxford,
I'd be happy to test them with our cats and chickens, but geographically I have no idea how far a journey that would be for you and them. It would be a shame to travel a long way and it not work out, but it would of course be wonderful if it did.
I should also say we are only thinking of foster at present, but that isn't to say if we went all mushy over them they couldn't stay, lol.
Have you ever known them to chase? Can you let them off lead when you are out, and hows their recall?
We are on a farm with plenty of fields for them to have their runs, though all dogs will now have to be on a leash in the garden after recently loosing our lurcher due to him chasing down to the road in the blink of an eye. My husband nor I are willing to risk that kind of heartache again, :'(absolutely not.
