Sadly we are finding that due to difficult situations more and more people are needing to rehouse their dogs. We are also finding that more and more rescue centers are full.
Dogs listed on this section will be dogs Greyhound Gap have been contacted about, who are still with their owners and are vaccinated and neutered.
In every instance we will make sure a dog has been met by one of our volunteers and will also be willing to undertake homevisits on behalf of the owner, before putting them in touch with any new potential home.
HOWEVER, it needs noting that Greyhound Gap can NOT be held responsible for temperament and the health of these dogs and its up to the prospective new owner to check everything out thoroughly before adopting. We will though be willing to offer advice through the initial settling in period.
We will NOT be advertising dogs where the owners expect a fee - if at any point you are asked, as a potential owner, for money please contact us immediately. However, we would recommend that the rehomer asks that a donation cheque is given to them at time of rehoming, made payable to a rescue charity of their choice, to ensure dogs are not exchanging hands free of charge. We recommend that the donation is between 100 - 140 pounds, in line with an adoption donation from a center.
