Sukie a 12 years old Collie X needs to come into Oldies Club care. She is said to be in good health, biddable and travels well.
Owner is available to hand Sukie over most days with a bit of notice. The fosterer works part-time Mon-Wed so it is best for the transport run to take place on another day.
Full journey is Scarborough, Yorkshire (YO11) to Nottingham (NG4) taking 2 hour 30 mins - A64, B1249, A614, M62, M18, M1, A610, A6541
Transporters must not take their own pets or children with them when helping us for a number of reasons. One being our insurance isn't valid if this happens.
We do have liability insurance in place for transporters themselves and our dogs but this does not cover all incidents so please do contact your own motor insurers incase something happens that is deemed as your fault. There should be no charge for your insurers to put a note that you are driving voluntarily for rescue on your records.
Great care to be taken when placing Sukie in and out of vehicles and handing between individuals incase he manages to break free.
If you can help could you please state day/s available and where you can meet up either side of your journey.
We can reimburse petrol costs if needed so please don't be afraid to ask.
Thanks
Amy

We are struggling with the first part of this run at the Scarborough end, is there anyone who can help with this please? We'd be happy to cover fuel costs.
Sukie will have nowhere to go once her elderly owner leaves her home, we really need to get her safe and into foster.
