What about waiting till the show next year and filling them with vegetables and doing them up to sell? That's a really good idea, and it wouldn't cost me anything either. I could put a really good selection of fruit and veg in each one. Fab ;D Diane x

Can I put my name down for one now? I do love wicker baskets, remember having one as a cookery basket for school years ago. Jackie x

You could squish it out abit with a big soft toy, or shredded paper to give it some substance IYKWIM. Basically line the bottom padded deep and then put stuff on the top so it's sitting half in half out IYKWIM. If you have a few mins look on this link forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=101, a couple of threads on the first page on this link give some fab ideas, can be done cheaply with a good profit.

You could go to your nearset Lush and see what goodies they will give you, stick a teddy in the middle surrounded by smellies and the cello wrap and finish with a bow? Or have I just got a little over enthusiastic

Thanks everyone, so many good suggestions i wish i had more baskets ;D I'm going to stick with baskets of my own grown fruit and veg on a bed of straw - with perhaps a specimen plant thrown in too -mainly because i will already have all those things here at home. (and our damsons/plums/apples etc always get snapped up at the shows) I will have to aim for the September show for the fruit to be ready and i wouldn't have much veg in May either, so i'm afraid it will be rather a long wait Jackie - i'll make sure you get 1st pick on the day Wanda - thanks for the offer, but i can use my own straw Diane x

i used to go round car boot sales and buy these for coppers and also buy nearly new cuddly toys(pref bunnies) then at easter id fill them with shredded tissue put some cheap hollow chocolate eggs in them and a cuddly furry toy usually a bunny and wrap them up in cellophane and top with a huge bow and i used to get really really good prices for them and had orders for loads more too!
