Jonathon Ross has alot of animals and the weirdest thing is before I knew of any of this I had a dream last week that Rossy backed a greyhound rescue and interviewed them on his show ;D. May be worth a try .

Could you e- mail radio stoke and ask them to do some promotion for you. Maybe, if they have an adopted charity for fund- raising, you could be theirs. They have community pages on the website, and it would be an ideal place to get some publicity.

Vinnie Jones? NO WAY www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/vinne%20jones%20appeals%20doping%20verdict_1009819More snooping: Angie Best, ex wife of George Best (footballer) and mother of Callum (model and womaniser!) apparently adopted an ex Walthamstow racer. Here's her website angiebest.com/Monty Halls supports a Cumbria Greyhound Rescue www.montyhalls.co.uk/While she doesn't have a sighthound, Lily Allen rescued a staffie mix from Battersea recently and she has a big internet presence on Twitter so maybe she might post about it if contacted. There is a lady called Linda Martin who is from Northern Ireland and would be quite a well known figure there and in the Republic. She represented Ireland in the Eurovision and she regularly appears on tv. She is a real advocate for animal welfare and is involved in rescue. She might be able to gather some support in Northern Ireland which is the UK too afterall. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Martin

Quote from: www.ourgreyhounds.co.uk/stop_cruelty_to_greyhounds.htmGreyhound racing has long been associated with the working classes, but the welfare of the dogs has become a cause célèbre for the rich and famous. Among those who have pressed the government to intervene are actors such as Annette Crosbie, Richard Wilson and Charlotte Cornwell, as well as Joanna Lumley, Dame Diana Rigg, Alexandra Bastedo and Simon Callow.
Other supporters include Rory Bremner, the impressionist, Sir John Harvey-Jones, the businessman, Germaine Greer, the feminist writer, and Twiggy, the 1960s model. Crosbie, star of BBC's One Foot in the Grave and founder of Greyhounds UK, a welfare pressure group, said The Sunday Times exposé of the mass killing of retired greyhounds had “forced the issue onto the agenda in a spectacular way”. She said some of the celebrity campaigners had owned greyhounds and lurchers themselves. Not sure if any of these would help or have already been contacted?

Gail today told me that Fred Dineage has, or has had, three greyhound rescues - he could be worth contacting.

What about contacting one of the dog mags to see if they'd be interested in doing an article or write up.

What about contacting one of the dog mags to see if they'd be interested in doing an article or write up. I'll be sending out a press release on Monday/Tuesday to just about every publication I can think of!
