What about it? Between us we must contribute massively to the turnover of Burns, CSJ, Butchers, Burgess, etc, etc Perhaps they'd like to sponsor a brick or a kennel or summat in return for a bit of publicity?

I wish you luck, tried emails to lots of peeps to donate something for raffle and got 1 reply, way too late. Agree on fish4dogs, they must get a lot off us all. Maybe if it's identifiable they'll cough up, hopefully.

I think it needs pointing out that Fish4Dogs already very kindly support one of our sponsor hounds Diesel with his fish oils etc etc!

In order to avoid manufacturers being inundated with requests for the same project, would it be a better idea if people just listed the foods they use (and those they don't ) and a letter can then be sent out by the trustees? It would be brilliant if we could approach some of the massive ones with a view to asking for matched funding

Just thinking, as well as the main food manufacturers we buy a lot of treats and poo bags, use dog shampoo for example and other products so how about approaching manufacturers of all these products too?

Burns sponsors our local rescue so they might be worth approaching. Arden Grange? I've used medic animal before and they have a charity bit on their website, worth a try? www.medicanimal.com/charity

I'll try to get in touch with veggiepets.com and see if they'll do something like a link to the GG sponsorship page or see if they're up for sponsoring.
Can also get in touch with all the pet product companies we have on our books. Or atleast get you contact names and numbers and addresses of actual people who work there - like marketing managers and directors etc
I know we have Oscars pet food, Judges choice, Oscars, Yarrah, Veggiepets, Redstar, Allen and Page, Dodson and Horrell, Equi life, Morehands and others... will have a sift through my customers.
If you guys have a standard letter or something?

We use Skinners Hypoallergenic Lamb and Rice - quite a few greyhound owners I know use it.
I agree that one letter from the Trustees may have more clout - one of them may even decide to donate all feed for the kennel dogs (abit like Burns with another rescue) so longer term that may save a huge amount of money ;D. I know when I approached Skinners for a HL auction they donated a voucher, Arden Grange seem quite good for donating too from what I've seen.
Another co. that donated but the Manager equally wanted the co. logo advertised was Dorwest Herbs, he kindly donated items generously too. Again, alot of Sighthound owners use Dorwest Herbs.
