We urgently need homes for the following 'oldies', either together or singly. They have lived their whole lives in kennels. These kennels were in a field and they had no heat or light. Their retired owner even had to carry water for them when she went on her daily visit. Eventually, as the dogs faced another bleak winter the owner wisely decided to hand them over to a rescue. ************** COULD YOU ADOPT ONE OF THESE OLDER RESIDENTS? Winnie was bred by the owner but didn't race (10 years old) Treasure was bred by the owner but didn't race (10 years old) Could you love him? Black Dog raced until he was 5, then he was retired to a kennel in a field,he is now 11 years old and would really like to experience a home life. They were all kennelled separately and can be re-homed separately, both Treasure and BlackDog are NOT cat friendly, they are all looking for quiet retirement homes, with plenty of food, love, warmth and a gentle daily stroll. if you have a spare place in front of the fire and can offer any of them a home then please call Angie 01554 773136 or Laura 01443 475415 for the latest info on their progress. DON'T FORGET YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO BE LOVED.

I really hope this lovelies get a fireside sometime very soon. Their sad story has really upset me. At least they are safe and warm now. I will keep everything crossed that their personal sofas materialise very, very soon.

I saw these three the other day, and wept when I read about their lives before they came into rescue. I'm sorry but I can't see the point in keeping animals in kennels in the middle of a field with no lighting and no heat. What on earth possessed their owner to keep them like that, and for so long. Winnie looks so much like my Cassie it's breaking my heart. I hope they all find their forever sofas very, very, soon. Jackie x

I drool over the oldies much more than the poopies.
I would love one of these sweethearts, but we're a bit short on sofas.

Thankyou all for your kind words and thoughts. Just to let you know that I've got Treasure and Winnie in my home with my mad pack, Treasure will stay with me as he has bone cancer of the hock and there's no telling how long he has, but his sister Winnie would still love a home of her own, she is clean in the house, good with other dogs as long as they don't tread on her! and boy does she love her treats, she's discovering pig's ears, bonios etc and enjoying herself. Black dog is in the house with Angie and her pack, is also being well behaved in the house and is also still looking for a home, either foster or adoption. We couldn't leave them in our kennels even with the heat lamps, lights and beds so they came into our homes. It never ceases to amaze me how they may have been in kennels all their lives, then come into our homes and are so well behaved, clean and forgiving of us humans!
Oh I love them all, such gracious creatures!

i would love winnie but don't have the room or car space. Imagine the problems I would have when calling them, Winnie 1 & Winnie 2 (it's no point calling ellie as she's almost totally deaf now!!) I do hope she finds a home soon and brings as much joy to her new owners as our winnie has to us.
