I could foster a Greyhound, Male. I have three hounds of my own. Missy, ex Wimbledom Greyhound now 12 & 1/2 years, Merlin Ex Irish Greyhound now 7 & 1/2 and Menta Spanish Wired Haired Ibizan Hound (Podenco) approx 6 or 7. Missy & Menta are females, Merlin is a male. I was a member of Greyhound Gap under the name of drwolfuk, but GC had an old email address that is no longer valid.
I will be going away in May & June 2012 to Spain via France taking my caravan and my three hounds.
I am also on holiday 26th November for a week, but the foster dog could come with us as all 4 of us are going to Little Dumpledale West Wales. I live in the Swansea Valley not far from J45 of the M4.

Your rehoming questionare has a problem even if you answer no to one of the questions it still expects you to place something in the next item as if you had answered yes so I placed n/a and it accepted that. It kept telling me to fill in all questions which I had, once it accepted the n/a it accepted my submittion.

I have just said goodbye to my first foster dog,who was adopted on saturday! Hi Kathateria, they are the same questionnaire's so don't worry about the insurance question, Gap hounds have public liability insurance and we cover all vets bills. You should get a call from someone shortly for a chat and then details can be covered. Thank you for offering to foster.

We continue to look for foster homes for the many dogs waiting in our kennels who have been assessed as ready to on to a home environment whilst they wait for their forever home Fostering is very rewarding and not just helps one dog, but it means another one waiting in the local pound under threat of being pts can come in to safety and look forward to a bright future. So you get to benefit two dogs! Similarly to adopters, the right dog is carefully matched to the right foster home so you can be assured you will be looking after a dog that can fit in to your lifestyle and co-exist alongside your other pets and there is a wealth of support to help you along the way. Fostering is also a great way to share the love and companionship of a dog even if in these difficult times, you can't commit at the moment to giving a dog a home for the rest of its life. You don't need a lot of money to do this, Gap cover all medical costs and food if required. You just a teeny bit of space, some time to spend with them and a love of dogs. It's wonderful to see their quirky little characters come out once they've discovered the joys of being safe and cared for in a home. If you think you would like to consider fostering for us and you have had a homecheck in the past, please express an interest to one of the rehoming team/trustee/moderator. If you are new to Gap or have not adopted from us before then please complete the form below in the first instance and highlight you wish to foster. Then one of the rehoming team will have a chat with you to discuss and answer any questions you might have. Or maybe you have a friend who you think might like to do this, please nudge them in this direction! www.greyhoundgap.com/homing-a-adoption/pre-adoption-questionnaireMany thanks Sarah

Hi. I have an alpha male greyhound and rescue pointer and an elderly dog savvy cat. I'm an experienced greyhound owner and I could foster a cat friendly girl. Sorry about the restrictions. might be better then nothing. I live in Somerset. Thanks Lesley

Hi Lesley. Thanks so much for your offer. However, we very rarely have cat friendly dogs. If we do, they go out to a forever home practically immediately because we have people looking for cat friendly sight hounds. Rose Marie
