Although I mainly foster for Carol at Hereford and Worcester I can usually squeeze in a cat friendly boy or girl if required.
I have fostered for GG before a couple of years ago,and I live in the Stourbridge area of the West Mids so am fairly local.I am at home all day.

Thanks for the offer Jayne, you will see there is a thread of hounds in kennels needing foster homes Just let Lisa/Liz know if there is a hound there you think might fit in and have a chat with one of them.

I am in the Merseyside area and wouldn't mind doing the north west, if my beautiful, quiet aging Springer (and my hubby of course) didn't mind. I haven't any previous greyhound experience, but have been looking closely at the breed for quite some time.
My only issues are that we both work all day 7:30 - 16:30 however hubby usually home for lunch in the afternoon and I could manage an hour then- we could do it in shifts
I also worry about my springer feeling her 'nose has been pushed out' (though she is usually quite indifferent to other dogs) she is 11 and is used to peace and quiet.
Anyway I would like to help in some way. x

I'd love to help out too, but am in Aberdeen & that's probably too far away to be of any use! Have fostered greyhounds in the past and most recently a yorkie ;D My male dog is old and a bit grumpy (fine with bitches and *some* males once he gets to know them), work 2-3 full days a week, going home at lunchtime and at home the rest of the week. I guess the distance is a problem though

i live in howwood scotland, large garden and rural area. am willing to take in most types of dogs as am missing my little staffy who died recently. am trying to adopt a greyhound but £100 donation is tricky to raise as am housewife and hubby wages are rubbish. this way i can love walk and care for dog/bitch until i can raise the cash. i have 2 grandchildren who are 3 &4 who love dogs too. they are pet trained. open to offers

My stepmum who has a dog, suggested I try fostering dogs, then possibly rehoming 1 , I need to chat with my Mum, but the dogs (If i can foster_ NEED to be cat friendly... I know, not many are but I can help the ones that are.) Someone around most of the day, 2 , 11 year children with experience of dogs. Any help? Please say Yes!

As suggested on another thread you need to ring Lisa or Liz to discuss it and the whole household has to be committed to it too, and a homecheck arranged.

Does this mean that you yourself are only 11? Your profile says that you are 18. If so then unfortunatly proboards restrictions mean that the site is only available for registration of people over the age of 13.

Hi , I (we, all of us) are happy to foster a hound that is cat friendly after our July holiday i.e. from the beginning of August. We don't mind what or who but could offer a very social, happy, dog, catty household. My kids are very dog savvy, having been brought up with pups and dogs since birth. We are at work but, as I work weekends the actual time left on their own is limited.... this week it was Mon and Tues between 8 - 2, next week it will be the same. It is rarely, if ever, longer than that, otherwise someone is always here. I would like to think we could help, but I will leave it with you, Love to all Nicky (Chappell)
