If anyone can get to derbyshire area, I could do so far up there, as long as it fits in with school etc. Sue

Phebe, I work during the day (and have umpteen dogs and kids to see to) so can't do much in the way of transport on weekdays - unless it's v. local.

Lisa has now explained that to me, and what I intend to do tomorrow is check both your lurcher and the future Gap greyhound out of the sanctuary and into kennels (have been given numbers of places that have a bit of space) and shuttle them up to their respective destinations as and when convenient. That gives us a bit of leeway.
So this run is now pending rather than planned, will update as appropriate.

OK. I'll probably be transporting Fwank down south at the weekend so may be able to pick up somewhere along the M1 if that's any help?

OK then, shall we start planning a linkup from the welsh borders to the M1?
Any W Midlands people up for this one?
Do we know whether Saturday or Sunday, Kaye?

We are thinking of moving my girl up from West Wales to Kaye fitting in with the route Bella is taking from Kaye to the Gower. I can do up to somewhere in Mid Wales, very flexible on place and time, swap dogs and then I can take Bella to destination if wished.

OK, thanks, will talk on phone tomorrow madmac, and no probs with a bit of hanging around. If I am taking one up I might as well bring t'other one back unless Sian can work in with this.

Thanks to Sian, Madmac and Kaye this girl is now tucked up in Kaye's barn. She doesn't fit Kaye's definition of a lurcher - more lurcher-ish but Kaye is kindly taking her anyway. I have to say in my defence that there are a lot of similar hounds in West Wales and they get called lurchers - so maybe we should have a new definition of Cardiganshire Lurcher - a mixture of greyhound, red Welsh collie, Borderline Collie (lots of those around), GSD and/or whatever is able to clear a fence to add its genes to the mix. She was a very good traveller and just settled down with no bouncing, obviously very accustomed to car travel. Sian thought Tia is very like Muppet
