A deerhound lurcher, friendly and good traveller, needs to get from Catterick to Trallwm Farm near Carmarthen. If anyone can relay him to somewhere west of Brum I will come and get him.

Depending on which way you plan to transport (and if its at a weekend) we can probably help. We are in Runcorn - so can probably do a middle/connecting bit

If it's a weekend, I can do a couple of hours south down the A1 from Catterick, or across the A66 to the M6 and a few junctions south?

Could probably do Shrewsbury (or Telford?) to Aberystwyth/Aberaeron if that might help. Am in Shrewsbury Saturday afternoon and free in the week except tomorrow.

thank you Gappers! Looks like we have a run put together if we do it at a weekend. Is there any chance we could manage this coming Saturday? If Herbie's ma can collect from Catterick, we need to work out which bit kats-n-greys can do and what other connections we need. I had expected to do all of the Shrewsbury to Carmarthen bit myself but will be very happy indeed if we can fit this in with ketty's trip. Where are you located, ketty? Sounds like you might be a neighbour of mine, more or less

Machynlleth - are you Carmarthen? (practically neighbours by mid-Wales standards!)

I'm near Synod Inn, about 8 miles south of Aberaeron on the main coast road. Only a hop, skip and jump away from you

I am in Shrewsbury till 5.30 ish - does this fit in with the transport run? If it does, I could meet you in either Mach or Aberystwyth? Think you must be the nearest gapper to me so it would be nice to meet. I don't get many chances to offer help out here in the styx!!

We need to get the rest of the run worked out before we know if your trip will fit in, Ketty. If it doesn't, no panic as I can if necessary go up to Shrewsbury or thereabouts.

We are probably meeting Kaye (if it's a similar run as last week) close to J24 on the M62 at about 14:30 if this is any use. Can run back to somewhere down M6 (or A49) if that helps. Dependant on petrol

Ketty, bless her, may be able to stay on in Shrewsbury area for while so we may have some time.

Kats-n-Greys, I've PM'ed you with my phone number - please call to arrange where and when to meet!
(We've got petrol again, after a 24-hour shortage. Yesterday the petrol station said "Maximum £10 petrol" and there were queues down the street, today, everything's back to normal - hope you're OK for petrol too.)

I'm still stuck for a relay between kats-n-greys and ketty, a stretch down the A49. Is there anyone Whitchurch way who could fill this bit in? Haven't had any luck with any other alternatives, and there are strong objections being raised here to my driving the long haul from here up to Cheshire on the grounds that I am still not up to full strength after flu.

Kats-n-greys, have PM'd you about the next stretch after you. Still juggling alternatives but will know more later today.
