We had been looking for another dog to keep Lexi company and I had my eye on a greyhound that Gap had, however after a really good discussion with Lisa we decided that a greyhound probably wouldn't fit our lifestyle, so another lurcher it had to be.
Lisa suggested that Lily would be a good match with our dog Lexi who is a bit nervous, so he needed a nice confident lady to show him the ropes We thought that at 7 she may be a bit old for us and all the walking we do, how wrong we were I hope when I'm the equivalent of her age I've got as much energy as she has
We took Lexi to meet Lily at her foster home & everything went well
First meeting
Lily had a few 'hormonal' problems which she was receiving treatment for so we couldn't take her home with us for a little while, but Gap were great and kept us updated about her progress. She eventually came home with us in July 2006 and made herself at home
She is such a cheeky little madam, she knows her routine and if you miss something she soon tells you. She will do a little 'samba' in the hall when it's time for a walk. When she gets back from her walk she throws herself on the floor and rubs along the sofa whilst groaning ;D
When we take her camping she makes sure she doesn't get left behind whilst we pack up
And her and Lexi like nothing better than having a good chase & biting/wrestling session
Lisa has always been on hand for any advice, and when Lily first came home her foster Mum Nicky gave us a 'Lily list' to help us through the settling in period.
Thanks Lisa, our silly Lily billy makes us laugh every day she is such a character ;D
