JACK is my lovable, utterly insane, beautiful hancock lurcher who i've had for nearly a year now ( )! his honourary 2nd birthday and official gotcha day being only FOUR days away, i've decided (only about 11 months late ) to start "transcribing his diary" for the enjoyment (hopefully) of the lovely people here at gap. he tells me he is modelling it on austin's and the beastly beasts', who he admires very much ...
Hello everyone, it's Jack here
I had a good normal-ish day today, cept my human amy decided i would go on my long string while i was in the park this afternoon, just cos it was dark and i had a small case of selective hearing yesterday! not my fault, is it! well i didn't like it at first because it makes a funny noise when it drags along the floor behind me (my human held the other end but it's 50 foot long which sounds long but is not when you're on the other end of it...). anyone i got the idea really quickly (everyone says i am Very Bright...though i can get very frustrated if i don't understand what you want me to do cos i like being Very Bright!) and we didn't meet anyone anyway, even though that was the other reason i was on my long string cos i ran up to another (friendly) dog while he was on his lead yesterday when i was in that park, even though his owner didn't mind but apparently it's not good manners. anyway i didn't mind my string in the end and i really loved running back for new treats and i was even stopping to check where my human was ALL THE TIME. i was Really Good! even though i kept wrapping myself around trees.
I have learnt a new trick it is called "Hi ho Silver, away!" and i stand on my back legs and jump in the air. I don't really get the joke but people laugh when we do it. my human says i am very clever cos i learnt that in just two evenings! but i had to understand first that i wasn't s'posed to jump AT people. oops. my human says she will try and put a video on here.
sausages for dinner tonight! got to go!
