Thought I would put this here for all to read.
I received a lovely email from a lady that adopted one of my ex-fosters back in April last year and here it is:
Zack is fine, over the last few months he has really come into his own.Believe it or not(you wont) we were just saying that he is the most obedient dog we have!
We have in the last two months acquired another deerhound. She's 11months old and called Nia and is very naughty!
It wasn't the same with one and although Zack and Tig got on fine they never really sorted out a game they both enjoyed(i.e. his head permanently in her mouth!)
The three of them have a lovely time.Zack is the rabbit,Nia chases Zack and Tig chases Nia.
It works well and Zack and Nia often sleep and eat together and are close, Tig likes her own space and no longer has Zack trying to cuddle up to her when he's cold.
He has learnt a few tricks, his favourite is speaking on command or on a hand signal but he does then go off on one..actually I did it with him after our walk tonight and he then did 20laps of the garden barking..... so we don't do that one too often....
And he starts agility in march, just for a bit of fun so I'll let you know how he gets on I'm sure it will be bedlam!
I'm glad you had a good christmas and are still keeping up the good work! Hopefully we will get to one of the greyhound gap Do's
and you can see the spacky boy. In the mean time I have enclosed a few photos.
Take Care,
Liza.
Here are the photo's:
I think the pictures say it all. One very happy, contented hound. ;D
