I now have a license from the local council which makes it legal for me to board dogs in my own home, I can board up to 2 hounds at the same time. Boarding is only available for hounds, Its the breed my own pack are most familiar and happy with, after 4 years of fostering i know mine are happy to welcome friendly hounds into their home. All i ask is that your hound/s are friendly, vaccinated, flead and wormed, and neutered and non dominant, Boarding dogs will be expected to share all creature comforts with my pack including beds, sofas and cuddles and will be safely segregated into their own room in the house with beds and a sofa when i go out walking half the pack. Your dogs will need to be happy to be left for up to 2-3 hours as i only walk 3-4 dogs at a time so they will be left during the other groups walk time. I have a CRB check, full boarding license and insurance and good references. if you are interested pm me or email me at annarevitt@yahoo.co.uk Anyone who wishes to book into the hound hotel , i will only confirm a booking once the prospective boarders have met my own pack at home or on walks, i will be at gap shows for anyone travelling a little further and we can see they are ok together. A 10% deposit will secure a booking and all booking must be payed for in full 7 days before arrival if cheque or on date or arrival if cash. 10% of any booking made through gap will be donated to gap. see this thread for our first boarders visit greyhoundgap.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=1199561525discounts available for bookings of over 7 days. anna.x.

It's funny how things move so quickly. I approached Anna last year asking if she could board my 2 after she had made a post saying she would like to start a boarding business. I have used countless kennels and have never been fully satisfied with any of them. The accommodation isn't good enough or the owners never seem to know about Greys. I also have huge guilt as I hate leaving them over Christmas. My family all have cats so it just isn't possible to take them with me. Thankfully she said yes!
I went to Anna's beforehand with the hounds to make sure all the dogs were happy with each other. They stayed over Christmas for 4 nights (it's my dogs in the thread). They lived with the pack and were treated the same. When I came to pick them up they were just so settled. They enjoyed themselves so much I struggled to get them in the car to go home.
It's great to leave them with someone who really understands the breed and I know if there were any problems Anna and David would have been able to handle them.
I would recommend Anna to anyone and will definately use her again - if she'll have us. Thank you.

Hi Anna,
i know you replied to my other thread on kenneling and i joked that i would need a holiday just to get to you but joking apart can you pm you costs for a 14 day stay for 2 greyhounds. i have just had a look in the AA route planner and whilst it would be 150 miles each way i think that for ease of mind (and lack of a nearer option) it might be a way forward. we are going away early March (dates not set yet). i take it we would bring their food and meds.
both the girls get on with medium and large dogs (they haven't had any of lead experience with small dogs) and have stayed the weekend with my dads german sherphard, mums border collie and a friends golden retrever - they do the normal pointy thing and ignor all of them.
i haven't put this to OH though, but he was the one who said they were definantly not going back to the kennels they stayed in last time - he is a big softy.
thanks louise

Just a little reminder to anyone interested in boarding coming from a distance, i have a couple of people who are meeting me and my dogs at the gap show to see if they are ok at first meeting as i wont take dogs unless theyve met mine beforehand, im happy to do this with anyone so long as you let me know before hand and we can arrange a time. anna.x.

I realise the thread is a couple of years old, but does anyone know if Anna still does boarding? I tried the email address in the first post, but haven't received any response ... Thanks!
