Well, it was the first weekly weigh-in this morning and . . . I've lost 8 lbs!!! Now, in addition to my Mum's £2 per lb I have aquired two further sponsors (both friends of Mum's) who have pledged a further £1.50 per lb between them, so . . . That's £28 for Gap so far!!!! Jo x P.S. I really, really need a bag of chips! NOW!

8lbs!??!! flipping eck that's a lot in one week! take care please ;D ;D ;D ;D Don't worry Ella, I'm not exactly fading away! I think all 8lbs was pee - it always is in the first week! The weight loss will slow down radically from now on if past experience is anything to go by . . . Jo x Edited to clarify that hopefully my bladder will continue to function (see Alisa Bee's post below)

Well, Week 2's weigh-in is a real disappointment: 3lbs lost I tried so hard, too - I really wanted it to be a little bit more (you know, like 3 stones or something ). Still, that's another £10.50 for Gap (if my sponsors ever stump up , so I suppose it could be worse . . . Jo x

Well done Jo 3lbs is very reasonable .... I think most folks loose a lot the first week, thereafter the weight loss levels out .....

Well done Jo! As Liz says the first week is always the biggest weight loss and then after that 2-3lb per week is really good, losing lots really quickly is not healthy. Keep it up, you're doing really well.
